How we work with Support Providers
SDA Smart Homes and The Disability Housing Centre partner with experienced service providers who provide high quality person to person supports for all tenants in our SDA homes. The support partners look after the day to day supports and individual care including and the property management is undertaken by SDA Smart homes under individual tenancy agreements.
To allow support providers to get on with the job of providing high quality care and support to participants, SDA Smart homes provide a Property Management Service on behalf of the home owners. We will conduct standard maintenance, repairs and inspections of the properties as well as collect rent and resolve any tenancy issues. SIL providers who are interested in partnering with the disability Housing Centre in an SDA Smart Home can contact our Housing Facilitator to discuss options for collaboration.
As well as taking on property management, SDA Smart homes and DHC will also help to market the properties and vacancies to increase exposure and occupancy. We offer flexible arrangements on a case by case basis for SIL operators who are looking for SDA properties from which to run supported accommodation. This may include the ability to offer short or medium term accommodation arrangements where vacancies and tenancy preferences allow.
